Facebook Traffic Passes MySpace
There is a very good chance that by the time you read this Facebook traffic (according to Alexa) will have passed MySpace. The 2 interesting things to note from the chart are:
1) The affect of Facebook’s Developer API that allows custom applications to be built into the site, launched earlier this year.
2) The decline of MySpace’s traffic since the middle of the year.
One might conclude that this decline is directly related to the increasing popularity of Facebook, or a worrying downward trend in social networking as a whole. The latter is feasible. Facebook is flavour of the month so if you exclude it and look at the other top social networking sites, the trend is plateau or downward.

Great article in today’s SMH business section. There is a lot to be said about a sound investment strategy of renting + margin lending.
